As we enter the season of giving, we want to extend a special "Thank You!" to you. You have given hundreds of students access to education in South Sudan. We wish you the happiest of times this holiday season. In thinking of all that we are thankful for over the past year, we recognize the immediate needs of others in the Marial Bai community. A gift from you to the VAD Foundation has a direct effect on the daily lives of our students at Marial Bai Secondary School.
November marks the end of the school year in South Sudan. We are proud to announce and celebrate the achievements of the second graduating class of Marial Bai Secondary School. Below the Form Four (12th grade) students are featured with local government officials who hosted a recent field trip to encourage them before the graduating exam.
FEWER THAN 10% OF HIGH SCHOOL AGE STUDENTS ARE ENROLLED IN SECONDARY SCHOOL.
THE AVERAGE STUDENT TO TEACHER RATIO IN SOUTH SUDAN IS 100:1.
We keep a a 25:1 student to teacher ratio for more individualized attention and a learning community designed to keep students in school. The 2013 graduating class of MBSS has recieved the opportunity of secondary education because of the caring community that supports the VAD Foundation. You can givemore students access to education in South Sudan by supporting Marial Bai Secondary School!
