COVID-19 (5/4/20)
Today is #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of giving and unity organized as an emergency response to the unprecedented challenges caused by COVID-19.
With the virus creating challenges for communities around the world, your help has never been so important. Our communities in South Sudan lack the infrastructure and supplies to address a global pandemic, and with case numbers on the rise, we fear that the virus may wreak havoc on the country.
In this time of crisis, The VAD Foundation remains committed to ensuring that our communities are safe and healthy. We are grateful for the opportunity to co-lead a COVID-19 Task Force and Relief Campaign to bring awareness to many regions in South Sudan. Valentino and the Task Force are traveling from village to village speaking to communities and bringing awareness to the importance of preventative measures such as social distancing, handwashing, and safe hygiene practices.
